SERVICE PLANNING AREA:

Hathaway-Sycamores Residential Based Services (RBS) is a pilot program, in conjunction with the State of California, designed to move children out of residential treatment more quickly and back into their own homes or foster/adoptive homes. Nearly 60 boys between 6-18 years of age live at our El Nido residential campus at any given time. The Residential Based Services Reform and Demonstration Project seeks to shorten stays in residential treatment by developing a treatment team to work with the child from his first day in residential care. The treatment team works with the child and family during his stay as well as after he is discharged to ensure that he safely remains in the home.
