Good Shepherd Center offers the core programs of shelter, food, case management and employment services, all of which are designed to help guide homeless women toward lives of independence. Programs provide a continuum of services which help women every step of the way as they move from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

Eligibility
To qualify for shelter at Languille, you must:
Be an unaccompanied woman 18 years of age or older
Be homeless (living on the street, your car or have lost your home)
To qualify for shelter at Hawkes, you must:
Be an unaccompanied woman 18 years of age or older
Be homeless
Have an income -This is the 2nd phase in their process toward independent living.
Have a current TB test (Taken in the last 6 months)
Have a valid picture ID and Social Security Card
To qualify for shelter at Farley House, you must:
Be a mother 18 years of age or older with one or two dependent children
Be homeless
Have a current TB test (Taken in the last 6 months)
Have a valid picture ID and Social Security Card
Have an income -This is the final phase in their process toward independent living. *
*Only Case Managers may refer clients to Farley House.
How Best To Access
Intake Process for Languille:
1. Intakes are conducted at the Drop-In Center, Tuesday-Thursday, 10:00 am – noon.
2. If space is available within the week, an intake assessment will be completed.
3. If no space is available, women will be given resources/referrals to appropriate shelters.
Only Case Managers may refer clients to Hawkes Transitional Residence. Please call Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm at (213) 482-0281
Only Case Managers may refer clients to Farley House. Please call Monday – Friday, 9 am –5 pm at (213) 235-1460.
