Through our Early Head Start and Head Start programs, we are able to provide families with an experienced Home Visitor who works with the caregiver and child in the home once a week for an hour and a half. Home Visitors help parents learn about their child’s development through a series of activities and assessments drawn from the Growing Great Kids (GGK) curriculum. In our home-based programs, parents attend social activities at our centers where they meet with other families and form relationships within their community. These home-based services are offered in the Mid-Wilshire district and in Compton.

Head Start Zip Codes (3-5 years): service zip codes: 90037, 90062, 90044, 90047, 90002, 90003.
How Best To Access
Referral is made to the CII Client Screener; Screeners screen for Medi-Cal eligibility; screeners identify program; client is placed on waiting list depending on the program (not all programs have a waiting list); program care coordinator or manager will contact the family. Minute order required for the following: Court Mandated referrals and children/youth who do not live with their biological caregivers.
