Located in South Los Angeles, the Taper Center offers mental health services to a community that is predominantly African American and Latino. Children and their families receive care at the clinic, in their homes, and at area schools. For more than 20 years, the community has welcomed it as the place to come for mental health services and other support. The Taper Center also helps adults receiving aid through CalWORKs to overcome the psychological barriers that interfere with their ability to find and retain work.
